I'm just thinking how does it line up with her past and how the prince sent her gifts like, twice??
I understand having someone stand in while you give your children the better part of their childhood, but Johannes essentially robbed Shuli of her childhood and her youth by placing her in that position.
Knowing that something has happened and (like Norra's father) Johannes has probably used his cold noble harshness towards Shuli and is part of the source of her nightmares.
We don't know what happened in the past (despite the brief being she defended the seat until Jeremy turned 18 by herself) but it seems that her current nightmares are probably from her reliving her old life now and I don't know what else. (Imo one of the plot points left hanging as the kids know that she sleepwalks)
There's a lot that's not being explained and I'd rather have a whole arc about Shuli's past (not what we get when she told her simple ambitions to Lucas) or the years before she was established as the Marchioness. Like those post season flashbacks, this seems like a long one we're in for, not the what happened in the aftermath of the past timeline.
may cause a "discussion" here, but i do NOT want a backstory for johannes & ludovica. especially Johannes--an abusive man who BOUGHT a CHILD who looks like his first love, GROOMED her to raise his children, and give her even more trauma by LOCKING HER IN A CLOSET. no matter what anyone says, THAT is fcking inexcusable. and ludovica? just knowing her as a narcissist right now is more than enough.
i need the progression of the MAIN STORY because we are literally at the cliff's edge in the plot. what i need to see is the downfall of i-am-holier-than-thou-cardinal-richelieu
we can have the all the backstories that the author/artists wants AT THE END OF THE MAIN STORY. this is dragging unnecessarily ಠ︵ಠ
