I've seen the raws, but the prince won't recognize him yet this season, but he will remember 'past' Abel in 'current' Abel's actions and mannerisms. Prince can't really think that it's the real Abel that's with him throughout this season because the council had 'Abel' doppelgangers sent to the prince claiming to have reincarnated.
