Sadly just being an empress isn’t enough - your family background, family influence etc. who’s gonna back you up in the politics to safeguard your power and influence? Who’s gonna respect her without all that influential power and the ladies w noble family backing could easily stand against her. I’m sure the emperor won’t want to ‘offend’ his noble subjects’ daughters should the empress have a head on w them , Without all these she’s just an empress in name, theres no power for her to pressure the emperor too ;(

Being an empress is just a chain around your neck, unless you have the power to back it up. That power usually comes from either your family & said family allies or your relationship & support from the emperor.
