copy and pasted from another user bc I’m too lazy to summarize myself, also the my man is NOT THE ML: My man realized that what he's done to her is, uhhh, pretty horrible, considering what he's done - with killing her when she was pregnant with his child to prevent the curse from being passed on + sterlizing her to prevent that happening again + orchestrating the majority of her deaths + all that jazz - and he supports the relationship between Raymond and Cary.
He helped reverse the sterilization done to her and he was forgiven - Which shows how much love and care and willingness to move on Cary has in her, which is CRUCIAL because that's how she gets her happy ending: Being able to connect with others and form relationships, allowing her to see pass through the brainwashing and realize these people are, well, people who are more complicated than they appear.
I think she was way, way, waaaay too lenient on the dude if you ask me but! She's happy in the end with her absolute cutie of a daughter, Rebecca, and son AND she is genuinely happy with Raymond so yay for her.
So in conclusion she had true love with Raymond before her first death and Dulan made her go through hell to the point where she became suicidal, insensitive to murder and death and spiralled into total madness because he is a irredeemable pos but she forgive him because some bs about forgiveness being some virtue (concept which was definitely invented by a bully or abuser).
Got it.
the ending is shit I’m considering dropping why can’t authors actually give a satisfying ending they always want their abused characters to “take the high road” girl who gaf torture everyone
