Literally her actions only made the hate on wizards worse. Like, after she died, he basically went on a killing spree of a bunch of wizards. Her actions were entirely selfish, and there’s a reason Darcy hates the idea of love and being in love.

The only person she could justifiably get revenge on is herself at that point, cause Darcy’s mother was at fault for everything that happened. Honestly, I think I hate her more than I do the king. Cause at least I can understand his hatred for wizards, but all she has is “oh I loved him!”

Exactly she could've shown him people with these abilities are not bad people and get him on her side I'm pretty sure when she says she was in love and he didn't spare her a glance she probably meant she was stalking him throwing herself at him which probably disgusted him further
