the way a large majority of readers lack emotional and actual literacy, you guys ask for characters with depth just to end up being unable to understand said complex characters and instead choosing sides and babying them
i’ve been marinating LITC for a hot ass minute, but even i can understand and sympathize with both characters. both have horrible trauma stemming from their youths and it’s not a competition of whose experience is worse. both are equally gutwrenching and equally pitiful. there’s no black or white. both these bitches did something that they’re at fault for because they lack the ability to communicate. one for fear of abandonment and one because of a lack of trust. surprise! cirrus who fears abandonment and craves love lies to keep skylar who has trust issues and tends to lash out without thinking first when he perceives he’s been betrayed. like come on now, expand your literacy.
