See... you just touched on one of my biggest issues with this. He IS an adult, so trapping him in a cottage with no real means to escape is illegal confinement. And it isn't so the MC can learn to be a better human being, it's only so he doesn't get in the way of the dad's career by exposing that he has a son. Yeah, that's really awesome of him, he's really looking out for his kid and NOT being a selfish a-hole.
Also, the ML has just as much to learn from the MC about connecting with people and seeing other's POV. He's a stick in the mud who only likes things his way. Doesn't feel a lot different than the MC, except it's not sex-centric.
What MC *needs* is a therapist to help him work through his childhood trauma of having a single, absentee parent who views his very existence as a hindrance. Maybe that would address his looking for love/attention through physical relations. His dad has just been using money as a substitute for being a parent, so I think he has earned whatever MC does tombis reputation.
What no real mean escape? He can literally leave if he ACTUALLY is desperate for it, he's not in a jail cell he's in some farmhouse. Mc doesn't seem to even be so bothered by it but ur taking it too deeply like he's in chains. He isn't. Heck he's living the best life he's just not allowed to go fuck around town.
You're in chapter 7, we don't know everything yet and you're already taking all of these stuff so negatively and assuming things. Don't forget mc is a spoiled brat and this is his pov, you're assuming way too much on the dad.

ML literally just sounds like someone who's an introvert, we don't even know the ML that well we've only seen him do chores and teach mc chores, why is the mc being babied so much here like ofc he has to follow this guy he can't live rent free

Yall give it a break we're still at chapter 7 also you guys never watched anything similar to this haven't you? The dad is doing okay by disciplining his ADULT SON. He's not gonna die there if he's just stuck there lol he has food and clothes + someone to take care of him. He's an adult not a child or a teen and he needs to act right and know the reality of the world and imo it would be sweet to see he'll learn by the ML here that life isn't all about sex.
