Misogyny is a mindset, and it's the hatred of women. Doesnt really have much to do with the gender of a person. Though obviously less women are misogynistic... yk since they're women. But it's not impossible for them to have the mindset. It's probably a lot deeper than this and someone could explain it better than I did but I'm not the best at explaining things in English. Point being, the author being a woman doesn't change anything about the original commenter's comment.
It does, because she stated that its about gay men being misogynistic. This has nothing to do with gay men, its a story written by a woman. Sure, you can call it internalized misogyny.
