i think the biggest theory i have is probably what we are— in the chapter where kido was talking to mc, we can see “us” (or at least the pov we’re in), to be referred to as “who”. however, “we” act as an inanimate object in the sense that we have no self autonomy and can be replaced by another version, also we are flammable. we also have to be pretty small because mc’s body can cover us up and given the ratio between him and the desk, our scaling would probably be barely half of the width of a chair (horizontal length).
telling the stories seems to be an obligation given to mc that no matter his mental state, he has to do. not sure if the chapters follow a day-to-day order where one chapter is one day that passes but it almost seems like it. there have been instances where they time skip maybe a day but not by very much so the time frame is pretty condensed.
given the symbolism in some of the covers, like the one we see for volume 1 (which is the display), we see an arm going towards him and hooking around him. it could be a representation of his home life or the supernatural grip that the entity has on him. —> the supernatural influences in this story are very interesting because they can be taken both as literally supernatural and as a figurative way to represent mental illness and the accidents that will follow them.
also hina!!! in a previous chapter, we already saw a glimpse of her “spirit” self that looks a lot like the girl from hxh lol but anyways— i believe that the spirit her appeared before the bruises appeared so the subsequent to be in touch with the spirit realm is not to have bruises (?)
i think this manga is super interesting and i was just listing things that i think correlate to the plot but i have no definite theories… do you have any? i would loveee to hear them :3
(spoiler based convo starter)
