I think he blessed the family thanks to MC's sister in the past. She was part of the royal (?) family and since I guess psycho brother in the past died without children, she would have been the only one to keep the family name going lol and I guess that's also why in the present she was thought to be the reborn fated mate of the dragon, when instead it was MC.
