I saw a comment saying this was lackluster, especially the original “male lead’s” plot line. It was basically nonexistent and felt like more should have been done. Yeahhhhh this left me feeling icky. I can’t say why, whether it’s the “romance,” the king, the crown prince, the plot lol. I also felt like things went too easily at certain times and felt left confused by the “plot.” For instance, largris or whatever putting them both in collars while in the village. How’d she easily break out of it? How could she do it and not Rein? How was his removed bc it’s suddenly gone later? Also. Why include the OG male lead if he wasn’t going to be used? He was just there to be present and honestly held no weight within the plot. He could have been cut from the story all together. Anyway. It’s alright, not amazing but not terrible. I still feel icky and like it wasn’t entirely worth the read, and trust me, I’ve read atrocious, no-plot, cliché stories that were worse off than this in quality LMAO
im kinda glad the original male lead just got to be a kid and wasn't involved in the plot. But yeah things got solved way too easy cus main character genius plot armor
