The hate is just plain immature, tbh. Sure it would be great if all relationships were always perfectly balanced and work issues did not affect personal time at all, but that's a fallacy only schoolkids could expect. Any adult relationship will be plagued by shit like this and lack of proper communication due to constantly shifting priorities. Look at Minato himself, he was so busy with work that he forgot Shizuma's bd, even though if it were the other way around, he'd be incensed and people would be calling for Shizuma's head. Yet is just another thing that can happen because life doesn't revolve around the other person 24/7 like it does in high school.
