Honestly people who call this ending bitter sweet are crazy. This is not a romance, it’s a tragedy (doesn’t mean it’s a bad thing to have ending like this, but that doesn’t apply to this story) . That man was an orphan sold into prostitution, groomed and physically, mentally, and sexually abused, idc if he chose it, being locked up forever is not it. He does not have to sacrifice himself for someone else’s trauma, and all because he didn’t let the dude kill himself!? Living for someone else is not sweet especially since their power imbalance is significant and what they’re getting out of this relationship and the sacrifices they’re making are not on the same level.
ALSO ARE WE FORGETTING WHAT THE “DAD” DID!? buying someone’s virginity is not it and FANTASISING ABOUT UR OWN CHILD DURING SEX IS NOT IT.
Okay so story wise, interesting thought, badly executed. There were giant plot holes , like the one about the royal twins. Side characters were developed midway and then completely dropped. Emotions weren’t accurately presented. Ik this was supposed to be short but it could be avoided.
