He didn't die, just... mc went back to the past before knowing if ml survived or not, and only knew he survived but couldn't be contacted that caused his previous self to fall into deep depression... (actually I also just realized that there was no statement the ML has died, just got accident and about to lost his consciousness lol)
Damn and I was reading all these chapters thinking he had died and that's why MC was desperate to change the past.
I mean don't get me wrong!!! ML getting into a car accident was horrible i cried too, but my mind went super tragic thinking he died
I think most of us readers think the same lmaoo
For mc it's especially stressful because he went back to the past not long after the accident, his memory was still fresh of the horrible view he saw, no wonder he cried when meeting the past ML
Also he blamed himself
Idk if I've been reading wrong or i skipped something, but i thought bro died in that car accident, that's why mc went back in time or did i misinterpreted the chapter???
