Jonas, Luca's father, is not a winterwald because he's not the current duke's son. If i remember correctly his mom (a princess) slept around and the duke was always in love with Ruediger's mom anyways

From what I understand so far, Luca is not blood related with the winterwalds. His father, Jonas, is probably not the son of the head of winterwalds. Though it is quite confusing cause if he is not of winterwald's blood how can he use the chalice to turn back time when it was mentioned that the it is supposed to be wielded by the heads of winterwalds, so maybe regardless of blood, as long as you're the head of the winterwalds family you can wield it or something idunno
