The stories all felt kind of rushed and didn't really have endings, (or even really beginnings?) It just felt like reading excerpts from something else where I was missing the context and then as soon as things started making a bit of sense they just ended, as abruptly as they started. Like for the first story, what was even the point of introducing a new character (the adoptive son) and giving so much info on him if you're just going to end it? It would've been great if he could've helped jesse get over his grief by sharing some more things from seere or smt, but literally as soon as he's introduced it ends??
