But here's the thing, being prone doesn't mean you have 'already a disorder' as you claimed. And being prone isn't in any way visible nor there's any way to know, because it doesn't solely count on heredity. Anyone can be 'prone' because being prone doesn't make you mentally ill nor does it mean you have something already. Once again, educate yourself.
I hope this serves as a way to explain that yes, drug abuse could be what caused his seizure episode, which later lead to psychotic episodes (probably through the use of a different drug). Oh, and by the way, drugs can cause seizures and psychosis to people who aren't 'prone' too (even though prone people are perfectly healthy as well). Forgot to add in the previous comment.
Oh, and to explain that a caffeine analogy you made is fallacious, comparing a reaction you may have to certain substances has nothing to do with the deliberate results of substances that in general affect the human body. Take for example shrooms and Lsd, they can cause psychotic trance to anyone.Sleep deprivation for days can also cause auditory or/and visual hallucinations as well, you don't need history of mental illness for that. Drugs that cause seizures and brain damage exist as well, no need to be prone in any way, nor be mentally ill.
Do you even know what psychopathy is? It's not even a term that is used by DSM anymore. And he's not even a psychopath by definition, what are you even talking about? Psychotic episodes and in general psychosis isn't psychopathy. Psychopathy was a term that was used(in the past) to describe a personality disorder which is something completely different to psychosis.
So no, that's not what I'm saying. I'm saying that drugs could have caused his psychotic episodes and seizures, because certain substances (in the drugs) are capable of that. I can't explain it in any simpler way.
I think we should stop the conversation here because you don't have enough information on the subject for us to have a proper discussion on it.
I guess I'm more inclined to think he truly has a disorder. That's the only plane I can relate to him on. As I have psychosis and certain situations would induce it. So the story is much more believable. Drug induced psychosis should withdraw once the drug is out of the syst. Whereas illness is incurable and thus requires regular medication. Though psychosis could occur with missing dosage as well. During my female cycles the psychosis lasts for several days and my meds aren't effective, so I'm made to "grin and bear it" for what is now 4 days. So even if his psychosis was induced by drugs if he doesn't have the illness it shouldn't require him to be medicated like this.
The thing is is, the drug is most likely not out of his system, considering he is forced to take it on daily basis. If he was taking it once a moth or a week it would be a different case. He may be getting the drugs to maintain this state, while being lied to that they're used to help him. Someone wants him to stay this way so that he doesn't have any power and remains as a slave. That's what I'm trying to tell you. Drugs are even capable of brain damage.
No matter what you do Lister rat, you're never going to get him beg for your sorry ass. Never. You better accept it as soon as you can.
That aside, I'm really impressed by how realistically an abuser is represented here. They often act like they're sorry but they keep on abusing until it eventually gets even worse.
Also, the feeling of bugs crawling in your skin and brain is a very common side effect of drug use. This obsessive green eyed fucker is definitely connected to mc's incident and is taking advantage of him. These drugs are definitely not helping him.
