If we're going to get technical there is a lot of points where the uke/MC tells him to stop or he doesn't want to do it and the seme/ML threatens him or does it anyway. Therefore it was not consensual and rape let's not sugarcoat it.

Yes there is and the ML is the absolute trash of trash. I've seen omegaverse Alphas less trashy than he is. But the story is good.

It’s not even a technicality that guy (Dan) didn’t know he was signing up to get money for sex in the first place. Jaekyung lied, lured him to his apartment, and then changed the terms of his getting money and then said no money if no sex their first time. Textbook coercion.

(not upset at you btw pikachu just wanted to clarify just how unambiguous it is if you have the correct understanding of consent as something enthusiastically given and also as an ongoing agreement that can be revoked at any time)

I only got through the first or maybe second chapter, so that’s why I asked. Honestly, I was getting that kind of vibe.

I really appreciate people educated each other. Like, the person who mentioned coercion— I hadn’t thought of it that way. I initially saw it as rape when he agreed but then changed his mind, but the seme went ahead anyway.

Now that you’ve pointed it out, you’re right. It’s definitely coercion, plain and simple.

I mean it is also absolutely rape too because besides Dan getting coerced into agreeing (which can’t really be said to be consensual sex) there were also several times throughout when he would just…openly say no, stop, wait, it hurts, I don’t want to do this anymore and Jaekyung just…wouldn’t stop.

And besides just the financial coercion, just like Pikachu pointed out, Jaekyung would also threaten violence and use physical force whenever Dan showed signs of reluctance…

I honestly see it on the grounds as sex trafficking. Dan loses his basic human rights over some bs contract he was pressured into, realistically if he took it to court he'll probably get out of the contract. Jaekyung is on the same level as those loan sharks Dan was fighting off
