i think it's more like rikka and kotoko act as allies when their reasons align, but at the heart of it, rikka is looking for a way to die and sees kotoko as an interference to her mission. kotoko sees rikka as an interference in her existence as 'the lady' and so they are constantly working against each other even when they have their 'ceasefire' moments where they help each other. the lightness of the scenes with the MK robot rikka makes is what i assume is the author's way of explicitly trying to hide the deeper plans rikka has. while rikka definitely does side quests, they are just that - side quests - that are trying to aid her undermining of kotoko's power as the lady. so everything about their current situation is temporary assuming my analysis is correct lol
thank you so much for replying! ngl im a bit sad that this is only temporary cuz theyre so cute and fun as friends. From how i see it, kotoko brings out the human side of both rikka and kurou cuz before, they felt like empty characters but with kotoko, we get to see them teasing, laughing, getting annoyed, etc. But then again it does make sense for them to have ceasefire moments while still working against each other when the situation calls for it.
I guess I'll just have to prepare my heart once this ceasefire ends
it's been a while since ive read this so can someone tell me what's the status with rikka? like is she good GOOD or is this friendly atmosphere just temporary? Cuz i accidentally clicked on ch 70 where she built a kotoko machine and idk the chap felt so light and funny that i was confused what happened between the three of them lol
