I'm gonna be devil's advocate here and say that most hairless felines look somewhat humanoid. I think it just adds to the overall unsettling vibe he has and why the uke (forgot his name..) reacted the way he did.
I think it was mostly the "face"... it was a bit too human
Also the torso looked off, more humanoid than cat-like
