I disagree, they're conscious of one another, they actually converse even late in the night instead of hating each other like every other story, they talk like adults for once, it's starting up really healthy with them being attentive toward the other, so far so good, it's subtle and sweet, probably the only one that I would consider romance with Sugar Sugar Rune, most others are only infatuated its not true love, true love is getting to know the other, respecting each other and while knowing the other you love and accept them as they are. You can only do that if you get to know them first, they're literally doing what IRL people do in dates, this is actual romance, where you know the other and his thoughts, where you think of them and wonder on how they are without feeling that anxiety and being blind to their red flags, you are aware and lucid in healthy relationships, you know what you're doing and so do they. You're not being manipulated when you see clearly.
One thing that I don't like about this kind of novel is that it gets boring easily. FL and ml are both nonchalant. There's no spark. It's lacking.
