You're so real with this. Why the autor would make such a complex character like J.J just to throught it to the trash by making a drastic change. I was hoping more for this story but now i'll just wait for things to get better :/
I think the author thought it was weird that the main character, Leo, is hated. Main characters are always supposed to be the rooted one, the correct one. The author or their editor can't make anything unique.
If I remove ch 15 in my head, I'm still for JJ lol. I can't with Leo until he can self-reflect. But yeah, the author/editor can't fathom that the MC is flawed and hated. Or that even if the MC is flawed, readers should still side with him, not the ML or anyone else. But they made the mistake of making him unlikeable while the ML is. They had a good and fresh plot but they had to succumb to tropes and the norm.
Its ironic because even side and background characters we're on J.J's side. The author and the editor set that for people to have empathy, feelings or identify with J.J also setting annoying stupid moments of Leo for the audience dislike him more but now they are using the "Top is a rap1st" to get simpathy and pitty for Leo. (Sorry for my awful english TT)
Exactly. Because it's obvious how Leo is behaving like he doesn't have a boyfriend but instead JJ was a fuck buddy, trainer, personal assistant all in one. And its a great plot to follow because that is fresh. The usual trope is MC is always the pitied one, and yes there are readers who did, but there are plenty who side with JJ. Idk if the Korean readers thought the same or that they took offense that JJ is a better character than the MC hence the author/editor decided to nuke JJ to boost Leo's popularity.
samee lmao jj all the way. i feel like the author actually intended for the mc to be flawed bc the other characters all tell him he is horrible and needs to change, only he believes he does no wrong. and that's probably the worst part. the author KNOWS but for some reason decided to completely ruin what was a unique dynamic (asshole uke instead of seme for once) and make jj into ur classic irredeemable rapist. i'm so disappointed bc i really was looking forward to see how the author goes about developing leo and having him redeem himself, only for them to go the entire other direction and decide "hey, actually he doesn't need to improve himself, we can just make his love interest suck shit too!!!!"
Yeah. Leo was just made perfectly fine. Apparently he does not need to change because is fully a victim in all of this. My goodness. Consistency and logic just went out of the window. JJ who held it on for 5 years just snapped, without alcohol or drugs. If this was his true personality, it would have already happened within that 5 years. Now the author will try to redeem JJ when it's not consistent with his character. Ffs. Author made problems that weren't supposed to be there.

That already is a call back to ch 1 when Leo left JJ blueballed. Leo is supposed to be the annoying one and I still don't like him, I can't with overly obtuse insensitive personalities. But man, the author be like, ooopsss, I made JJ a likeable character and viewers should only side with the bottom, aka Leo. So I will make JJ horrible and change the character altogether. This is just disappointing.
