The issue was not the item. It's her hurting herself. She whipped her thigh to check how painful it would be to use and he didn't like seeing her do that. Just because he enjoys feeling pain doesn't mean he enjoys seeing her hurt herself. It just goes against the grain.

Is their anything like not using those things on different person than the intended one like that offends them or something. His expression at the end was a bit confusing.
