That’s because the unloaders sometimes put the novel cover instead of the cover of the actual manhwa. When you see an intricate cover, just assume it’s the novel cover because that art style is so detailed that’s it’s almost impossible to use it for the comic where you’ll have to consistently publish a chapter every week. And make sure the art style is also consistent throughout the panels and chapters
That’s also because they usually hire a different artist for the manhwa. Most novel artists are cover illustrators whilst a manhwa needs a comic illustrator that does it all. A lot of artists refuse such job because of the workload. Also, bear in mind, the manhwa is simply an adaptation of the novel, it might not stick to the same scenario. That being said, them being different works makes their covers and art style difference reasonable.
Don’t get me wrong, I understand the frustration (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜 it’s like when the movie adaptation doesn’t live up to the books(a bookworm here)
Except for one manhwa, where cover artist of novels is an actual artist that adapts the novel too. https://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/becoming_the_villain_s_family/
Usually just cover artists are too expensive to hire long term. In this case, author is rich https://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/becoming_the_villain_s_family/ The art is out of this world.
He doesn't look like the cover-
