Just some thoughts (novel spoiler warning)

After finishing the main story (I still have side stories to finish thank goodness), I just had to say this. I saw some reviews in novelupdates so I really want to express my thoughts first about our MC.

The MC here is not our typical MC who has a very good character with some flaws. He is too flawed, making it difficult to like his character (so I understand the thoughts that they hated him). He is so frustrating and so uptight, maybe because he’s older, and most of the times a complete jerk (especially when it comes to relationship and how him and ML started). But then if you’d look for it deeply, all his actions came from his own experiences. As being labelled (by himself) as failure for having to quit the one he loves (Swimming) and for having regrets over it (if you read the novel you will learn how deeply he regretted his actions and how he truly cares about what Jaekyoung (ML) will feel if he’ll be on his shoes.

Slowly, he changes for the better. You know the relationship is good when both of you are slowly changing for the better. Their love story once again gave me tremendous hope that there’s still love so unnerving and wonderful (yeah, even if this is just a story ugh) and I want to have that kind of love. You will get disappointed all the way with how the characters are made, but surprisingly at the end, you’ll end up loving them unconditionally.

I’m sad that I’m near the finish line but still happy that I got to read their love story and learn a little about athletes and swimming. Surprisingly this novel really hit hard. Hoping to read more stories like this in the future.


Sorry for the long comment, and if you reached up until here, could you maybe recommend some novels that you love. Little mushroom opened my interest to read novels. I thought I won’t be able to (because it’s so damn long), but looking at it now it just feels sooo short knowing I’m near the end
