I knowwww ;-; they’re just ‘best friends’ bc women dating women when there’s already so many more men than women is an obvious no no on the government’s part, but like if you have THAT many more men, you’d think they’d say “well, gay coupled men at least benefit the male population bc it means less single men and less competition for men when it comes to the women” but they’d rather everyone be miserable than objectively allow something positive for their population bc at the end of the day their outdated patriarchal ideals and unfounded disgust in gay relationships win out T-T this is happening literally everywhere, it’s not just an issue in China, I just think it’s so strange considering their population demographics to be so strict specifically on gay male relationships. Bc I get not wanting the drastically smaller population of women you have to be gay (like I don’t agree, but logically yeah, I’d get why they’d censor it) but when you have so many men destined for solitude when they could have the option to be in a happy healthy relationship with another man benefits no one likeee
