Yeah, I also hate when characters break up cause one of them gets scared by society and wants to appeal to the standards of a man and women being together, so they just ditch the other person. Honestly if a story has something like that in it I drop it cause it just ruins everything for me.
RIGHT. it just doesn't sit right with me that you don't wanna be seen as someone 'weird' or 'abnormal' but when person B starts seeing someone romantically, all loose hell and that thought would be poof, gone.
i'd immediately drop it too.

i really hate characters who vanish without any explanation, only to reappear when the other person is doing fine, saying they regret leaving.
