if he was genuine about it, he'd immediately stop all those nasty fights by idk making the enemies all pass out? if he's so powerful im sure he can do smth like that
like he's just watching as all his friends get beat up & waits til the last minute to do something? not cool man.

The whole point is that he is pretentious. He only wanted to be the "strong chara hiding his strength" because he thinks it's cool. That's it. Otherwise, he doesn't have many braincells, nor any concerns beyond immidiate worries. He is pretty much an airhead. His main two concerns are 1) make sure his heart doesn't explode, and 2)oh shit, my friends are actively dying, I should probably do something. The second one only shows up when it's currently relevant.
So don't expect much from him, lol. He doesn't have any serious motivations behind his actions, and he doesn't have enough braincells to really think things through
Well he is basically so powerfull that no one can defeat him and he knows he can heal anyone as long as they are not dead - even in the last second. So he basically doesn't care cause he can heal them and everything is good. The bad guys hurt them - no worries he's gonna punch their buty and kill them. He doesn't really get the danger that he might one day be too late. He lives with his conviction that he is cool in his own eyes. It seems that as the story progresses he start to use his powers more openly and to help rather than just play the hero and be cool. I have a feeling that at some point he will need to choose between rescuing his friends and family or his life. Or the author will just go the easy route and the main character will learn nothing. :P

hmm the premise was interesting, bc im a huge fan of hidden strong characters as well. but uh.. our mc kinda misses the point of it all?
those characters are cool as hell NOT bc they're freakishly strong, but because they literally don't care about it.
they only use their powers to save and protect & not to feel cool and show off. that's what makes them admirable and someone you respect and look up to.
