I guess the proper way to look at this relationship is harem where one person gets all, and this is the case with this story

To me I consider it an open relationship. Where both love interests understand that uke love both of them but they don’t like each other. I would consider the latter poly, when all love each other. Still I like both (⌒▽⌒)
Honestly there’s two different words that start with poly (polyamorous and polygamous). What you’re talking about is that you like polyamorous relationships. As opposed to polygamous relationship where it’s normally one person being with multiple people. (Although the meaning is a little blurred since it usually involves marriage). Honestly in this case, the only polyamorous person would be the mc, since he likes them both romantically. Whereas the two MLs, like you said may be more into an open relationship (though likely is just okay with the other being with mc, and not anyone else joining). So open relationship is still a blurry word for it since usually everyone would have to be able to date and see anyone they want, including the MLs.
As a polyam person (in the community for years now) : a V relationship is still polyamory.
