The whole point is that Sion didn’t have a childhood and didn’t have time to properly grow and digest his emotions. Doing a time skip would turn him into a Demi-god and just ruin the whole premise since he would just kill her again

I mean, I don't agree because I'm in it for the build up and how their relation changes from enemies to "lovers". If they time skip now, then there's no proper relationship build up for FL and Sion, and everyone would feel lack lustre.
It's like making the movie Avengers Endgame, but before that there's no movie. If there's no build up to Endgame, then none of it makes sense or none of it carries any emotional depth because we wouldn't know how it progressed.

why are we watching them be kids, this isn't a story about 2 kids trying to get along, like there should be a time skip already
