It's a bittersweet ending. In the end, they lead separate lives in different places. The phrase, 'Every month when I visit, you are always waiting...' feels depressing, and the word 'visit' gives me bad vibes. Everyone wants to walk through life together with the person they love—visits should be for parents, friends, or neighbors. After all the angst, they deserve a fully happy ending.
