the news was made through her team, in general when an artist or someone well known in japan passes away, it will be send out through their agency, partner or official account. not sure what country you speak of when you say fake death news but these things are strictly illegal in japan and rarely happen, only thing i can think about is mistranslation to english sources but I dont recommend getting your japanese news from them either way.
