Okay this authors schedule is kind of wonky so bear with me.
So he stared the series releasing one chapter a week for three weeks the taking a week off. So three weeks on. One week off.
However, it sort of changed January of this year. Because he started Kaiju # 8: Side Stories manga (which I don’t think anyone, but the most hardcore fans was asking for and isn’t really needed. It just goes over some characters backstory or how they get paired up with whatever new weapon they are using in the most recent arc).
Anyway then the schedule shifted to
One chapter of the side story for two weeks
Then one chapter of the main story the following week
Then one week off.
So he’s making chapters at the same pace, but since he shifted which manga he was releasing chapters on it basically means this went from releasing 3 times a month to once a month. The good news is the Side Manga is supposed to be ending soon so hopefully the main manga will go back to 3 releases a month and he doesn’t take up another un-necessary side project

I heard it was because he was working on season 2 of the anime, so he had to slow down on the manga??!
You may be right. I just checked. For Jan through July of this year there’s been at least 3 chapter releases per month between the two manga, but we’ve only gotten 2 releases for August. So it looks like he just cut back starting this month. I don’t know how long that will last though
can someone tell me why the author took a long time for a new chapter?
i mean, there's some authors like that with their own reasons. But what happend with this author?
