i feel like if the story was told from xin's perspective it really wouldnt be much of a mystery. xin is much more honest with his emotions and seems to know more than he is letting on about the whole family dynamics so imo there wouldn't be as much suspense because xin already (sorta) knows the stuff lau's trying to find out. i agree with the rest of your points tho. we just gotta hang on a bit longer for them to come back
It feels like the story is being side tracked. I agree we need to know things about other characters and the past but we vaguely know what’s going on with the main couple. You can focus on the main couple and give context at the same time.
It’s hard to be interested in some of the other characters, when I see another chapter about x character it literally makes me wanna stop reading because we know/learn so little about the main couple (past and present) yet learning so much about the people around them.
I’m more interested in Xin and Lou. I would’ve actually preferred if it was told from Xin’s perspective but I like Lou’s a lot aswell.
But I still really like the story and the characters overall, the art is really beautiful.
