This is such a good and realistic depiction of interpersonal relationships

Even tho I can understand those, who read fiction to escape from reality and those, who only like reading fluff and stuff. Some people need to understand, that not every story is about cute and romantic relationships with no problems in the world or just simple made-up problems.

Those, who hate on this story, should have read the summary and checked the genre before reading it or something.

My personal opinion on this authors' work is the following:

This story has a nice realistic touch to it, as it depicts the problems of some celebrities in the industry (especially those, who start without any back-up) experience.
This story also shows us, that not every relationship has to start or stay healthy amd can turn toxic any minute. Especially, if you are dealing with people, who have mental problems or trauma.

It depicts the experiences of people suffering from trauma after SA and abuse and depicts coping mechanisms, that are also commonly seen in those people.

It's also pretty realistic how you can't be sure to know somebody that good, even though you have known them for your whole life.
The fact, that people change over time; that their good and bad experiences change them constantly throughout their life is a fact.
The way Yujin understood that and still accepted him regardless of that fact, just shows how much he cares for him and actually tries to understand the reason, why he changed so much and how to handle him in such a state.
I think, that this is a better depiction of unconditional love, than some other stories have.
To love someone even, when they are mean to you and hurt you bc they are coping with trauma and aren't in their right mind.
Most people wouldn't want to have anything to do with people, who are just as broke as Shiwoo, but Yujin still chose to be there for him and that's what I mean.

This is, what I see as a depiction of true love.
Being there for someone, when they are on their lowest.

So many people with trauma and bad experiences in live have lost hope and sometimes they decide to leave this world out of despair or just suffer alone or lose faith in humanity and don't believe in people or the concept of love anymore.
Such a story just shows, that you can find happiness and someone to love even, if you went through such horrible experiences and think, that there is no one left in this world, who would love you after all the things, that happened to you.

You can see, that someone with trauma doesn't have to suffer and cope on their own. Even if you try to, just like Shiwoo and most people did and keep doing.

People with trauma tend to shut themselves away from people around them. Whether they do that emotionally or literally shut themselves in. They try to keep an emotional distance to not get hurt in that way again.

That's the part, that the author depicted in a good way as well

As someone, who has experienced a lot of trauma in my childhood (even tho it wasn't SA) I could relate to Shiwoo a lot.

It's really difficult when you get abused by people you depend on and you aren't able to escape from them.

It's also perfectly normal for people like that to have a low self-esteem and to develop a self-hate, that turns into something, like a personality trait of yours.
You try to build up an emotional wall to distance yourself from other people, since you feel like you are a nuisance.
When you were constantly treated like sh#t and got physically and/or mentally abused you have such a low self-esteem and self-hate, that you abuse and torment yourself mentally as well.
You think of yourself as a bad or filthy person, that doesn't deserve happiness and deliberately act like shit to keep the people important to you at a distance or to prevent people from becoming important to you.
You think they deserve better than yourself.
What also happens to you is, that you get afraid to open up to people and for them to become important to you, since you were hurt by those, who were important to you. You try to avoid that, but you still crave for warmth and love, since that's normal for a human. You keep people away, but you also crave for their warmth.

The same thing, that Shiwoo experienced with Yujin.

That's why I like this story so much, even tho it has a lot of trauma and may awaken some unwanted memories.

This story makes you continue to have fate and think:

"If I just hang on and continue to live on, then I might be able to find someone like that as well. With time amd support I may be able to finally overcome my trauma."

That's what I was thinking about...

Sorry for this whole rant and my comment being all over the place without a real structure...
I just tried to name everything, that came to my mind, when thinking about this whole experience I had with this story.
