Right, like why wouldn’t he just help with the other work? That was the first indication something is off.
But I guess since he’s not completely familiar with how things work in this world, that makes him easier to manipulate
Like how rather than helping his friend with his workload he decides to just suggest his sub gets a new Dom. Like they don't even play that often but I'm pretty sure you go to work everyday
