I can't remember the exact reason but I think that they don't like each other due to something that happened decades ago and the 5 great clans are as strong as the 10 great sects and they are in different areas so they just sty out of each other's business. I can't remember it exactly but it was explained before the MC went to the 5 great clans so a few chapters ago ╮(￣▽￣)╭
