He knows but it’s like he is walking on eggshells because this 2nd wife of his was forced into him by a higher ranking noble it seems and because of his duties as manger of the territory he’s away from the home or busy. It’s likely he has to play the game of not treading the line too much or his daughter could be in danger. Or at least that’s my view on it right now
