I really hate the "if you don't like it, don't read it" argument. Sometimes it's not that simple. There's people with rape fantasies who love all manga rape and there's people who hate all manga rape. The tags help those types of people. Then there's people like me who are indifferent and don't know if they'll like the manga or not until they actually read it. Some manga utilize rape better than others. I gave the manga a chance and it wasn't until chapter 4 when I decided it wasn't for me.

I understand some people won't know if they like it until they read it (I am the same way) and I also am indifferent to rape. I just don't understand the World War 3 going on in the comments. Why is THIS particular story getting people so heated? It's just a simple (dare I say "bland") manga. You can say you don't like something for whatever reason. And if you reach chapter 4 and decide its not for you then that's OK. Just don't bash others for liking it (not telling this to you personally, just in general). People are name-calling and giving shit to others for having different opinions and it's unnecessary.

I agree with you there, some don't know how to give opinions without attacking others or taking it personally. Not bashing anyone but it seems that someone always throws a "if you don't like it, don't read it" at everyone who has a negative opinion on a manga. Sorry it just irritates me so much because sometimes, even though I don't like it, I do want to have an actual conversation about the manga. ( ̄へ ̄)

100% with you. Seems like you can't even critique something without someone wanting to burn you at the stake for your opinion. I personally do hate the "if you don't like dont read" because it just negates any kind of critique one may have. I was speaking more from a point of "If all you can do is bash others on their tastes, its better if you don't read it" y'know what I mean?
Btw, I didn't like the manga because the seme is so creepy to me haha. I don't like super bubbly characters. Plus he didn't seem to take the uke's feelings into consideration like at all. Even in rapey mangas the seme somewhat knows the uke's feelings or something. This seme was just like "long hair don't care, rape-fuck don't give a fuck"

Lol, "long hair don't care, rape-fuck don't give a fuck"
His lack of consideration is one of the reasons. I didn't like it because they don't know each other but uke is like "he raped me a few times so now I love him". Couldn't they have at least been long, lost childhood friends or something? I don't even know why the two are in love.

Exaaactly. Like i swear sometimes mangakas confuse orgasms for signs of love lol. If they were lost childhood friends that would make it soo much better. Especially since childhood friends is one of my top favorite tropes. My thing is, how can you love him just because he raped you? That means you could've fell for any dude who stuck his dick in you, which dismisses real love (in my humble opinion). Plus the seme is a sex addict so how do you even know his true feelings? Atleast until they have that trope where a rival comes along but the seme turns them down b/c they love their original uke lol

Isn't that always the problem when someone doesn't like something? In my opinion love only because of sex is a superficial reason and not something I'd consider "romance". The rape trope is also overused in yaoi. If the manga is gonna be cliche it might as well throw in the others as well. A lot of people love tropes ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

Yes you can fall in love after sex. But if the relationships is JUST sex. That is not love. Which is the problem I have. In most mangas, the uke and seme bond over other things after having sex that make them realize their feelings. That did not happen here. And tbh the rape trope is used just as much as the childhood friends trope soooo...

No one is bashing the mangaka or people who like it here. A story is also for the reader to interpret and form opinions however they want to.

do you know the definition of criticism? lol I'm having a discussion on what I found wrong or didn't like about it. No is name-calling and no one said anything about people liking the manga, or did you just pull that from a place where the sun don't shine? I love manga that others don't and when they say what they dislike about it, I don't get mad or defensive. I try and understand the viewpoint they are coming from.
Alright, I just finished reading this. I don't really understand why there is so much fuss going on. This is normally a manga I'd quit after the first chapter and then...MOVE ON. I understand people don't like rape but after chapter one, its pretty obvious what the manga would be about. If you decide to continue it...then that's kind of on you? Plus there's the tag so... I hate to be the one to say "don't like it don't read it" but this manga is very easily avoidable. The rape didn't happen out of no where, it STARTED off with rape, so if rape isn't a element you like, it could've easily been avoided
