also aside from the violent part, its also i think cuz in the novel as she's talking back to Cesare, and telling him how he doesnt love her and how different Izek is, she's going through this whole climactic moment of realization and you can tell she's finally understanding that Izek really does love her and it's just a beautiful horrible emotional moment and the buildup to the big reveal is intense
Yeah for sure, I also think like the manhwa version painted Cesare in a light as if were supposed sympathize with him while the novel didn't. Cause to me the analogy of his reflection breaking all the mirror with the flashbacks to how he was treated was almost like "he isn't a bad person he was just made that way" which I don't like, because this moment is not suppose to be about Cesare, it's her moments to finally break free.
I don't know what's missing but I didn't feel the same emotions when reading this part in the novel. I literally cried while reading the novel
