Don't feel bad, one time my parents forgot to pick me up from school on my birthday, I was there until it got a bit dark and I was bawling. Why can't you spend your birthdays with someone who is married? Another time I threw a birthday party and all of my friends hit it off leaving me alone. Another time during one of the parties I broke some fingers when my friends mom's butt fell on my hand. But, the rest of my years besides birthdays are pretty nice. My point is don't sweat it.
Same im a bit older and that's what i did on my bday. Adulting is hard. lol jk

This is just my thinking but I'm suggesting you not to stay at home reading yaoi, but to go out for a walk in a park or something (or even in a bar) to cool your mind. I believe it will be helpfull and also you might meet new guys (future new friends)

Its ok. I just turn 24 too & my life now is quite a mess. I'm ugly, have mental disease & no friend, live in a faraway country which is not my hometown. I also read BL manga everyday just to escape reality.
Don't worry, there are a lot more people like you or having worse than you. You are not alone.
Birthday is just a day. Schedule a party or even just a movie/dinner night out with friends when they CAN come. The main idea is to celebrate another turn around the sun, so does it matter when you do that? Or you could buy yourself something sweet, maybe something off your amazon list, watch your favorite movie and call it a night.
I personally celebrate my birthday sometime in October, even though it's actually in December, cause i don't want Christmas messing with celebrations.
I remember hearing chinese peeps used to all celebrate their birthday on their new years. Think of it, even if you were born two days before new years, you'd be one year old, two days later.
Don't worry birthdays are an arbitrary and quite frankly annoying tradition, so just spend it like you would any other day ╮(￣▽￣)╭

I'm turning 25 soon and I'm not excited at all for this birthday. Don't have any friends to spend the day with because they're all working or married and moved out of this town already. Can't get drunk. Have nowhere to go. I will probably just stay home reading BL by myself since I have no other ideas about what to do but I just feel pathetic.
