Yeah, agreed. His wish was obviously too difficult for him to fulfill at least up until this point. Just wish that Jesse had let Law go when he first requested it. That's the only action of Jesse's that I find too cruel to forgive so far.

cruel? why could be that hard to forgive though?
Jesse never forced it, I mean even when he asked Law to stay by his side.
he never forced Law or even used his power for that(not even blackmail or said pathetic things like "I'm gonna destroy you if you leave me")
Jesse just asked him to stay(just humillated himself according with his own words)..he was even clear and honest enough to said him this would be the only time he could do something like that and also made it clear that he could still go on without him, just as Law was planning to do.

Law had no options when this was about his parents but Law had always options when this was about Jesse. That's why Jesse told him that this relationship was always about Jesse accepting and dealing with Law's personality & choices more than Law really accepting Jesse's "particular" personality because He (Jesse) never forced him to do anything. Law still can leave anytime... This is Law who chose to make all these things to please him or gain his affection.(first on behalf of his family and after on behalf of his "insane love for him")
the problem was Law was a quite insane guy since the beggining.(ofc his family had a lot to do with it)

Yep law is crazy and he wanted to manipulate jesse. He was crazy since he saw his mom and dad fight he kept thinking things like "would dad kick me and out" and so on and thats how he slowly began being indulged in these thoughts and he saw jesse as someone who was in control and had power and he began having aninferior complex
