Tbh my grandad is going through the same thing with dementia and being in and out of hospitals as an 80 something year old. He once told my dad and uncles he wanted to die in his own home and we can’t afford a full time carer so he’s always hurting himself but we are still doing as he wished when he was still sane and keeping him in his home.
Even if that fact will eventually mean he may hit his head again and again (he already has) and that might be what kills him. If he said he wanted to be out of his misery I’m sure we’d do something… as long as it’s legal
