Honestly, it's the concept. The sci-fi concept where the uke gets pregnant seems good. And the side characters that call out how stupid he is are fun. I also like that when the uke does something stupid, he needs to grovel while everyone tells him how stupid he is. But he doesn't seem to learn.
But I guess the seme never cared for how stupid and stalkerish the uke was. Who knows? He might be into the stupid part, it seems. As the saying says: fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me 100 times, I'm into that sh*t. (yes I made up the last part)
But now that the truth has come out, maybe the dynamic will change. The uke will be less stupid, and the seme less angry. If we get to the baby they might need too coparent and grow. It all depends how the author will take it from now.
I find the uke bearable because he is not completely useless. At least he is a genius. I do not like when they make one person perfect, or too defective that you wonder how can people stand him (aside from looks).
The asshole seme seems plausible. He is from a rich family in a world where you don't even get pregnant naturally. Maybe he was brought up by robots or nannies. Lack of physical touch and such can affect you, especially if you can't have them from a an early age. He also stays away from drugs and anything that doesn't make him perfect. So right now he is starting to go through what should have been his teenage years. He is finally getting a crush, and such.
Also, this is more a comedy than romance. If you come here to take the story seriously, then you are just going to cringe. If you just don't take it seriously then it's easier.
But if you don't like it, then that's also fine. Hatewatching is a thing. That's why Nikocado has so many followers. Sometimes you just want something to hate to let off steam, and that's perfectly valid. It's better to direct hate to a manga than a person.
Oh god you reminded me that Nikocado exists. Horrid. Cursed AF man why you do this to me? But on a serious note I genuinely love comedy mangas. I love laughing. But there is a certain try-hard-ness vibe I get from this manga that just turns me off and it becomes cringy. And then on top of that, I genuinely dislike that the uke is so idiotic and that he doesn’t learn. I want at least SOME personal growth. There is a fine line between “haha this is funny bc he’s acting stupid” to “all he does is act stupid and that’s his character. That’s all he has to offer. There is nothing else there.” like, without the characters growing and changing even a little bit, how am I supposed to actually be interested in their relationship?
You’re right tho, the sci-fy element is interesting. I wish it was showcased more. The uke is said to be a genius; I wish that side of him was actually be prevalent. Instead it's HEAVILY glossed over. Why?? He would be an actual interesting character if it was shown more.
I legit don't know why I'm keeping up with this manga, I don’t even particularly like the main characters or their dynamic. They barely have any chemistry whatsoever. You can downvote me all you want, but tell me honestly... What makes them a good couple? The uke is an idiot who cries and stalks the seme and the seme is an asshole who has an anger problem. Every interaction they have I want to wither up and die from, because their chemistry is in the negatives.
As I said, idk why, but I keep coming back for the updates. I skip some of the drawn out bullshit tho. Why is this comic so damn long. Literally only three things have actually happened so far: they had sex, uke got pregnant, and now seme just now found out. Everything else in-between is absolutely useless. This could have easily been 10 chapters and it could have been more enjoyable imo.
I embrace the downvotes coming my way. This comic isn’t good. But like a car crash, I can’t look away from it.
