It's more like he's obsessed to the point he'll probably do anything and kill anyone just for Su Luxia. He's probably a villain at that point then.
Uh in short, he wants to trap Su Luxia in that world, in order to do that he has to get more power and to do that, he has to take the chosen ones’s power/fate? That is the confusion if part for me but maybe it’s the power to be the chosen one? So that he can have enough power from the world to trap Su Luxia in there.(๑•ㅂ•)و✧

To summarize, Jing Chen manage to travel to different worlds. He kill the protagonists of those worlds to absorb their energy. Since he found Su Luxia this time, he wanted to trap her. Unfortunately Su Luxia drugged him so he couldn't catch up to her when she leaves that world & also if he pass out for over a month he will miss to absorb the energy of the red hair girl and be forever trapped in that world.
That's basically all the guys who love Luxia at this point XD...
But yeah Jing Si is a villain. But I really like him. They're kind of friendly-competing, kind of frenemies. He respects when he's lost and he genuinely cares for her and suspects the agent systems (not Bamboo Rat, but their entire agency). He came back to her at the end, but still let her go.
There's a villain in a future arc that's a way worse, much more evil Jing Si. I think compared to the other ones, he at least still has a bit of chivalry.
I remembered that there was a character that fell for Lu Xia and became a host, what was his name again?
Wait wasn't he in one of the spin-offs?
