I assumed that he wasn’t as strong because he never had any full previous training/practice (though he actually did, from multiple sects during the YEARS in the cave) but when he’s dealing with that Buddha lady and during the fight for the evil clan he instantly learns a new skill, not from visual or physical experience but VERBAL. So that’s saying all of the times that he needed to gain experience and power by meditation and practice meant nothing because all she had to do was speak to him and he understood how to use a new foreign technique.
He is constantly on the verge of death like I swear to god—. And every single time that it happens someone comes to save him.

I’m sorry that I wrote so much but I’m literally so fkn mad. He was literally on the verge of death so many times and he refused to learn how to fight and just kept Idfk what he was doing because obviously he wasn’t getting any stronger. They literally glorify his name when in reality he’s so fkn weak and every time he fights he seems to be getting weaker and weaker like is he even fucking trying? AND ALL THEY HAD TO DO WAS SPEAK TO HIM FOR HIM TO GET STRONGER!
