Also asami would be rolling in her grave, cursing out all MC for daring to lay a hand on tatsuyuki. If this motherfucker had any respect left for her, he wouldn't have done what he did. Sigh, I'm just gonna forget about it and think about it as a mostake the mangaka did and was too late to fix. Cuz if that was not the case, I'd become a demon of anger.
I’ve read this years ago and I would’ve agree with you back then that they did Asami wrong but re-reading this now, I realized that Asami is strong and determined. She’s not the type to let people walk all over her, especially her husband. If you think about it, do you really think Asami would just let anyone who her husband fancy live together with them and have sex with them when she’s basically just next door over? She’s awesome and the strongest but she wouldn’t just let anybody do that to her. There’s a reason why she let Uichi in their lives, it’s because she loves him too, maybe just as much as she loves Akitora. Her love with Uichi might not be romantic nor sexual but it’s definitely near the level of love she has with Akitora for some reason. She knows that her husband’s soulmate is Uichi but she also knows that her husband won’t leave her for his soulmate, she’s that confident on him and she’s right. Uichi staying away is the best possible outcome for them because he’s not like Asami, he can only love Akitora and everything would just repeat itself had he stayed. On another note, I feel like what Uichi did to tatsuyuki was a plot hole because the author never planned on making a separate series about them.
Yeah I understand all that but my frustration still won't go away cuz asami deserves better. For someone as awesome as that, she deserved a love that was solely hers.
I think so too, she deserves someone who’s utterly and completely in love with her and worships the ground she walks. However, she’s also the type to smack us for thinking like so because she chose that life and she knows she have the ability to walk away from it anytime she just choose not to. She’s almost perfect tbh.
I don't know how to feel about this. It's beautifully crafted, complex, nuanced and all that. But, I can't digest how asami would've felt, like I just can't. A woman as awesome as her deserves a guy who will stay loyal to her till the end. They make it seem like she was incredibly important in akitora's life too but like, MC is his soulmate at the end of the day. How bad must it have felt to know that the man you married and had a child with and resonated so fucking well has someone else s his soulmate. That's just ughhh. I started skimming from ch 12 till the end cuz it all got so convoluted and annoying as fuck ngl. Still, asami deserves so much fucking better, she's the best character in all of this, I need justice for her. All the men around her are absolute trash.
Also, can't believe they brushed off the rape part, like sure this manga is all about fucked up people and embracing that fucked up ness but it's still a weird asf choice. If it was like 5-10 yrs after their separation I'd have understood but it was 24 years after it, MC matured for sure since he already had reika. No reason to suddenly become deranged.
Ig thats a plot hole cuz the previous manga came before this and they mangaka probably didn't realize this manga would get so good and all the characters would fleshed out so well until they actually wrote it. But the disgusting actions of the previous manga can't be taken back now so they just ran with it i guess.
