From what I've seen other users comment, when Anastasia offs herself, she tells Theodore to never interact with her in their next life, then Theodore never remarries and dies old and alone.
I think the ending implies that he either went back in time or was reborn again and as a child meets child Anastasia and it implies that's he's going to try to marry her again only this time he's going to treat her right. And it's like, c'mon she couldn't even escape him through death.
