this is definitely a culture difference thing. Idk if it's everywhere but in many queer spaces hooking up even when you're in love with someone is common. Esp when you know/think the object of your affection is straight or not interested in you romantically. Also some people especially men just have higher libido. From the story it's clear uke is sexually open minded so I think it's fair and accurate to his character to hook up.
This had an interesting premise, but the hookup angle ruined this for me. I get that he thought he would never have anything with Hirose, but sleeping with someone else while claiming to like another person is the biggest turn off for me in a story. Was that really necessary to include in the story?
