This had an interesting premise, but the hookup angle ruined this for me. I get that he thought he would never have anything with Hirose, but sleeping with someone else while claiming to like another person is the biggest turn off for me in a story. Was that really necessary to include in the story?

Glad I’m not only one. Would have been a 5 star if not for it.

i mean, it really didn't add up much in the story but it's a pretty realistic thing to happen. most of the people i know have hook ups even if they have someone they like (ofc not if they're already committed)

Maybe it's the cultural difference at play here, but where I am from, that is not common and neither realistic, lol. Especially since MC here was crushing on ML for over 10 years.

But he slept with the guy Hirose listened on the phone? Seriously?!

this is definitely a culture difference thing. Idk if it's everywhere but in many queer spaces hooking up even when you're in love with someone is common. Esp when you know/think the object of your affection is straight or not interested in you romantically. Also some people especially men just have higher libido. From the story it's clear uke is sexually open minded so I think it's fair and accurate to his character to hook up.
