That wasn't so bad

I initially thought I wouldn't like this but it powered through. Here are the things I liked about this story:

1. No "we met as a child" or "you saved me before" back story, which is a good start cuz I'm starting to hate that back story since almost every manhwa/webtoon I encounter has it. Not very appealing anymore.

2. No isekei (FINALLY). Somehow it feels rare to read a fantasy webtoon without the isekai, which I'm also getting tired of.

3. Hero turned villain. Now this is actually RARE. Most plots always have that partner where they just accept the fate of the other because "that's what they'll do" or something similar. It really is very refreshing to see this kind of character, ready to burn the world for you, not the other way around.

4. Them not keeping their abilities. I feel like if the story ended with them still having their abilities, all their hardship would have been useless. Losing them was the best ending, considering the struggles & abuse they had to endure solely because of it.

Wish there was more stories like this. I really liked it. Fresh, different, and not repetitive, unlike the most.
